‘The Unexpected’ Magnum’s Square Print Sale, an opportunity to get a signed original from Magnum Photos for 100 euros

If you have always wanted to have an original photograph of one of the great masters of history this may be your opportunity because Magnum Photos has launched the ‘The Unexpected ‘Magnum’s Square Print Sale. This is a special sale that takes place exclusively this week and in which some will be put on sale 90 original prints archival quality and signed by the photographers (or stamped authentic) for just 100 euros.

Thought with the idea of ”celebrate the unpredictability of life“and demonstrate how the”happy accidents and unusual twists of events lead to memorable images“Thanks to this sale it is possible to get an original copy of greats in history such as Robert Capa, Elliot Erwitt, Eve Arnold or W. Eugene Smith.

Of course there are also somewhat more recent photographers such as Alex Web, Alec Soth or Trent Parke, iconic images such as Stuart Franklin’s ‘Tiananmen Tank Man’ and, of course, one of our representatives in Magnum, Cristina Garcia Rodero and Cristina de Middel.

As the name suggests, the photos will be printed on 15.24 x 15.24 cm square format (6 × 6 inches), with an image size of 14 cm on its longest side. As (obviously) not all photos are in this format, white borders will be added to the margins, but they will not be cropped. In addition, from Magnum Photos they warn that these prints are exclusive, they cannot be purchased once the term expires Y “will never be available in this format again“.
