Where are Nikon spotting scopes made?

Nikon’s Fieldscope line of spotting scopes are premium offerings to compete with the best of sports optics manufactured in Japan or Europe. You choose your options based on concerns for mass and budget: straight or angled, 60mm or 82m objective diameter and whether to spring for the ED (

Hereof, Where are Leupold spotting scopes made? Leupold riflescopes are all designed, machined, and assembled in our Beaverton Oregon manufacturing facility. We do not have any other riflescope manufacturing facilities or offices anywhere in the world.

Leica riflescopes are produced in both German and Portugal factories. Leica claims that products made in either location carry the same standard of quality and performance.

Are Zeiss scopes any good? The optics on the Zeiss are very good, and easily match those of scopes costing twice as much that I own. The clarity is outstanding, and the light-gathering ability is as good as any 40mm objective scope I’ve used. All in all, I consider this scope to be an excellent performer at its price point.
