A 42x ultra long zoom lens with optical image stabilization delivers crisp, clear 16 megapixel close-ups, panorama or HD videos. Auto scene, object tracking, post-editing features and a host of powerful yet user-friendly settings make photography easy, fun and zero hassle.

Then, What does 42x optical zoom mean? If a 50x optical zoom lens has a wide-angle setting of 20mm, then its maximum telephoto setting would be 1000mm (20 multiplied by 50). If a 42x optical zoom lens has a wide-angle setting of 25mm, then its maximum telephoto setting would be 1050mm (25 multiplied by 42).

What is 12x zoom? The “12×” is a ratio – all it says is that the longest focal length is 12 times longer than the shortest one. A 10–120mm lens is a 12× zoom, but so is a 100–1200mm lens.

Keeping this in view, How far is 50x zoom? The 50x optical zoom lens is a 35mm equivalent of 24-1200mm, which can be extended to 100x using Zoom Plus. Thanks to its Ultra Sonic Motor the lens has near-silent zooming.

What does 40x optical zoom mean?

Its 40x optical lens means it can capture from an equivalent 24mm wide-angle (wide enough for shots of groups, say, or landscapes), through to a massive 960mm equivalent (long enough to pick out far-away subjects and make them appear close-up within the frame).

How far can 20x optical zoom See? The 20x refers to the amount of magnification. This zoom magnifies 20 times so if you were taking a picture of something 20 feet away it would appear to be 1 foot away. 100 feet away would appear to be 5 feet away.

What does x10 zoom mean? In other words, the “multiplier” is the difference between the smallest and largest focal length measurements of the lens. For example, if a 10X optical zoom lens on a digital camera has a minimum focal length of 35mm, the camera would have a 350mm maximum focal length.

How far can 30x zoom See? Surveillance With An Optical Zoom Lens: Comparing 30x, 36x, 44x, And 55x. A basic surveillance camera can see anywhere from 0-250 feet at night, depending on the IR, camera model and lens.

How good is 20x zoom?

The 20x refers to the amount of magnification. This zoom magnifies 20 times so if you were taking a picture of something 20 feet away it would appear to be 1 foot away. 100 feet away would appear to be 5 feet away. Optical zoom is the best versus digital zoom.

Is 10x optical zoom enough? At least 10x zoom is needed, but 50x optical zoom or even more is better. Many professional wildlife photographers go for very long lenses that enable them to photograph wildlife from a significant distance. If you can’t afford a lens with a long focal length, then a high zoom range is what you should go for.

How far is 4x digital zoom?

The 4x digital zoom brings that up to 4,800mm equivalent, but you’re still probably better off sticking with the optical and scaling in post if you need to. That being said, it’s still pretty impressive. That it can make out anything at all at that distance is pretty ridiculous.

How good is 30x optical zoom? The 30x magnification range is nothing short of incredible, allowing you to zoom up to distant subjects while still maintaining the clarity that only optical zoom can provide.

What is the zoom of a 500mm lens? So, using the formula, we now know we need a 400mm lens to approximate the magnification of an 8x binocular and a 500mm lens to approximate a 10x binocular.

How far can 50x optical zoom See? The 50x optical zoom alone is the focal length equivalent of 24-1,200mm on a full frame body. The 4x digital zoom brings that up to 4,800mm equivalent, but you’re still probably better off sticking with the optical and scaling in post if you need to. That being said, it’s still pretty impressive.
