BEST OVERALL: OtterBox Symmetry

Otterbox has been making protective cases for the iPhone since 2007, but its Symmetry series strikes the right balance between safety and a slim size. The case, which I’ve tested, feels great in the hand, and slides easily into your pocket.

Similarly, Are Otterbox cases worth it? Its accessories are big, bulky, and might not be the best-looking, but if you want to ensure that your phone stays protected, Otterbox cases are the best bet. Otterbox cases are expensive, with prices ranging from around $30 to $70. In our opinion, though, they are worth every penny.

What is better than Otterbox? While it’s true that the Otterbox Defender provides the best drop protection, a new competitor has emerged: the Lifeproof Fre. The Lifeproof Fre is popular due to its cleaner design and promise of ultimate protection against water and snow.

Otter Products, LLC and its affiliated companies worldwide (“OtterBox”) warrants OtterBox products against defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the original date of purchase of the product by a consumer (the “Warranty Period”).

What is the difference between the Otterbox Defender and Defender Pro?

Between the Otterbox Defender and Defender Pro, the biggest obvious difference in texture is the removal of the Apple cutout on the Otterbox Defender Pro. But if you look closely at the TPU cover, youʼll see the Otterbox Defender Pro has a lot more texture which theoretically will enhance the grip on the case.

Do I need a screen protector if I have an OtterBox? No. The protective case actually is designed so that there is no need for a screen protector. The clip of the case can cover the screen when the phone is not in use and snaps on to the back casing when the phone is in use.

Is Pelican better than OtterBox? While the Pelican Voyager Case does look more stylish and thinner, I think is great for those who want a rugged case but not too heavy to carry around, and easy to slip in the pocket. In terms of protection, Otterbox Defender is thicker since there’s a full rubber on the outside and covered with closed ports.

Is there a more protective case than Otterbox?

The Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro is an excellent alternative to the Otterbox Defender. What is this? Like the Defender, this Android and iPhone case features a built-in tough screen protector, as well as a kickstand that folds up seamlessly and doesn’t add extra bulk.

What’s the difference between LifeProof and Otterbox? LifeProof and OtterBox are both smartphone cases designed to protect against drops and water damage. While Lifeproof only manufactures cases for iPhones and other Apple products, Otterbox is available for Android smartphones as well.

Are LifeProof cases worth it?

If your primary concern is drop protection, you can save money by buying Otterbox Defender. However, if you are up to something rugged and can be brought anywhere, Lifeproof FRĒ is a better choice. Additionally, Lifeproof cases are mostly for iPhones and other Apple products.

What happens if my phone breaks while in an Otterbox? Please try again later. Only if you paid for an “Accidental Damage” Geek Squad plan for your phone. There are options available that will allow you to ship items ordered from e-commerce stores like Otterbox to your house or office address in Canada.

Do you have to register an Otterbox case?

Hey Karen, no need to register the case for our one-year warranty, feel free to contact us if you have any issues!

Which Otterbox is the toughest? The Otterbox Defender is the toughest case out of the four. We know the slipcover on the case will stretch out over time and people tend to pull the port covers off. But we’ve seen Otterbox Defenders last 2-3 years (an office mate has one their iPhone 5s still).

Why is the Otterbox Defender Screenless? the new otterbox cases have no screen protector to ensure a snug fit and no gap between a case with protector and the actual screen.
