When you have the good idea to buy a second lens for your SLR (like the 50mm f/1.8 that is dear to my heart for example), you’ll need take a different perspectiveif only to try out your new toy. But to avoid damaging your case, you shouldn’t do it just anyhow!
And yes, because when you change the lens, all the dust present in the air have the possibility to enter quietly inside your device, and go dirty your sensor. You will never be able to avoid fully that dust gets in, but there are ways to change your optics quickly and safely to keep it to a minimum. So I’m going to reveal to you on video 3 different ways to change the lens on your SLR, the first one being rather reserved for indoors, and the 2 others for outdoors ๐
Of course you do, avoid as much as possible changing them outside in bad conditions (wind, dust, …) !
(You can put the video in full screen and/or in HD 720p for a better view ๐ )
If you handle very large professional optics (which are both heavy and expensive), the last 2 methods can be a bit complicated. So I advise you to keep it simple and to use the 1st one ๐
