Infra-red radiation will pass through a polarised medium just like visible light does i.e. the component at right angles to the plane of polarisation will be blocked. So there’s nothing special about the fact the glasses are polarised. However most materials are only transparent over a restricted range of wavelengths.

Do infrared lights block cameras? Unfortunately, the answer is yes and it applies to all surveillance cameras. If the criminals using infrared illuminator, powerful LED torch light or even a reflective board, the camera cannot catch the image during the nighttime.

How do you visualize infrared light?

Is infrared light harmful to eyes? The most common eye disease associated with near-infrared radiation is cataracts. Prolonged exposure to IR radiation causes a gradual but irreversible opacity of the lens. Other forms of damage to the eye from IR exposure include scotoma, which is a loss of vision due to the damage to the retina.
