Panasonic has been making cameras a long time. Without figures at hand, their gear is likely to be as reliable and durable as any other camera makers including the “old Guard,” and perhaps even more.

Then, Are Panasonic cameras good for photography? Many of Panasonic’s cameras are designed to be equally good at video as stills photography and some, like the aforementioned Lumix GH5 Mark II, are out and out video specialists. The Micro Four Thirds lenses can also be paired with the best Olympus cameras (and vice versa).

Is Lumix better than Nikon? The Nikon is the slimmer and lighter of the two, while the Lumix looks and feels like a professional DSLR — bulky, but with much more direct access control. Keeping this in view, Who makes Lumix? Panasonic showed a prototype of a planned 3D Lumix camera in September 2011, saying that it would have twin 4x zoom lenses with folding optics and optical image stabilization for both video and still images.

The DSLR offers a wider selection of interchangeable lenses, longer battery life, and better low-light shooting thanks to the optical viewfinder.
