Having an outside point of view on your images is always useful, especially when you’re just starting out. It allows you to pinpoint problems that you may not have detected, and to improve a lot.
These days I have received a few emails from readers asking me advice on their pictures, and I was of course happy to answer them. And then I said to myself that the only thing that was a pity was that the already over 200 subscribers to the blog (thanks to you) and all the others don’t take advantage of it!
Hence my idea to launch operation “Sunday Photo Review “. Here is the principle:
- Between 1st of the month at midnight and the 30th of the month at 11:59 pmyou can post on the brand new FlickR Learn Photo.fr group images you want me to criticize (positive and negative points of course).
- The 1st Sunday of the following monthI’ll post an article on the blog criticizing one of the photos of my choice.
Attention : any photo posted from the 1st of the month will only be processed the following month, even if the first Sunday of the month is only the 7th!
You have the right to post until 3 images per person per month. In addition, you must display the EXIF data of your photo on FlickR so I can analyze the image (they’re displayed by default, so if you haven’t touched anything there’s no problem). You only need to not prohibit the download of your images. You cannot do not post the same image multiple timesso choose well, and take lots of pictures!
Of course, participating requires a FlickR account, which will only take a few minutes (for the past few days you can even log in with a Google account!). If you are not familiar with this service, I invite you to read my article on FlickR.
So I encourage you to post your images as of now whether yours is selected or not, decrypting an image can be highly informative. Moreover, if I see that some mistakes are common, I will probably write articles that will help you to correct them!
Of course, it’s not because I launch this operation that I will stop answering your emails 😉.
Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions about how this operation will be carried out.
