Does it matter what ink cartridge you buy?

YOU NEED TO BUY THE NUMBER THAT MATCHES THE MODEL AND BRAND NAME OF YOUR PRINTER. IT SHOULD TELL YOU INSIDE YOUR PRINTER WHERE THE INK CARTRIDGE GOES OR YOU CAN GO TO A STORE WEBSITE AND FIND THE ONE THAT FITS YOUR PRINTER BY PUTTING IN THE BRAND NAME AND MODEL, WHICH SHOULD BE PRINTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR PRINTER.

The cartridges are the same size; XL simply means that the cartridge contains more ink. XL cartridges can print up to 3X more pages; useful if you print a lot.

If you are trying to install a black ink cartridge in a color cartridge slot, your printer will not function and you could potentially cause damage to the machine.

Can I use just black ink in my printer?

Why does my printer say low ink when I refill it? After resetting and reinstallation, you may still see the “Ink Low” message though. All Printel ink cartridge are refilled to full capacity. You are seeing this message simply because the chip in the cartridge couldn’t get reset. So you can ignore the message.
