Although lately it is appearing a lot in the media for unpleasant reasons, the truth is Hong Kong It is a highly recommended place to visit, full of photo opportunities. For example like those of ‘Hong Kong Halluzinations’, A journey through the vibrant night landscape of a“ neon paradise ”by Johannes Heuckeroth.
This German, by profession a designer but lover of photography and specialized in landscape Y architecture, tells us that I had been dreaming of visiting the Chinese city for years. He did it at the end of last year and he thought “such a crazy city […] I think this place is a bit of a hallucination. You hardly believe what you’re seeing, but it’s fucking real”
With this idea in mind, the author tried to reflect in his photos what Hong Kong inspired him, following a work philosophy based on trying to show more than reality. “I like to call it a ‘parallel reality’. Based on the world around me, but seen through my eyes and created with my own interpretation of the places I visit”
The result, as you can see, are some very interesting photos, where the reflections and juxtapositions mix with vibrant colors 80s aesthetic Y somewhat chaotic compositions.
What do you think? We hope you like them and, incidentally, that they serve, as Johannes tells us, as “a tribute to this wonderful city and its brave citizens who are standing up to the government and the police to defend their freedom“
